Quick & Easy Spicy Korean-Style Enoki Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

  • For the Mushrooms:
  • 1 pack 200g enoki mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • For the Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon Trader Joe’s Yangnyeom Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced (about 1 tsp)
  • For Garnish:
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Enoki Mushrooms
  • Cut off the woody stem part or root of the mushroom and separate them into small bite-sized clusters of mushrooms.
  • Rinse with cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Heat the Pan & Sear the Mushrooms
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with cooking oil.
  • Lay the mushroom sheet flat in the pan and press lightly.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  • Add the Sauce
  • Flip and sear the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Lower to medium heat, then drizzle with sesame oil, Yangnyeom sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  • Let the mushrooms absorb the sauce, flipping once more for even coating.
  • Garnish & Serve
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
  • Serve hot on a rectangular plate and enjoy as a perfect snack or side dish!
