Bachan's Tofu Rice Bowl
This protein-packed tofu rice bowl features crispy pan-fried tofu cubes tossed in Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce for a crave-worthy flavor explosion. Tofu is an excellent source of plant-based protein, providing all nine essential amino acids your body needs.

- Tofu: 14 oz 1 package, extra-firm
- Cornstarch: ¼ cup plus 2 teaspoons for thickening
- Vegetable oil: ⅓ cup for frying
- Onion: 1 medium thinly sliced
- Broccoli: 2 cups cut into florets
- Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce: ¼ cup for drizzling
- Cooked rice: 2 cups for serving
- Green onions: 2 sliced, for garnish
- Sesame seeds: 1 tablespoon optional, for garnish
Press tofu between paper towels or clean kitchen towels to remove excess water. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
Dredge tofu cubes in cornstarch seasoned with salt and pepper.
Heat neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pan fry tofu until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside on a wire rack.
In the same skillet, stir fry onions and broccoli until tender-crisp.
Toss crispy tofu back into the pan with vegetables. Drizzle with Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce and toss to coat.
Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
